Who Was Turhan?

Was Turhan a Woman Asking for Happiness, for Power or a Killer?

Turhan is known in Turkish history as the last powerful representative of Female Sultanate and as the murderer of Kosem. She was a usual Russian girl when she was captured by the Turks .

Asking for happiness. Hmm, this characteristics does not suit her. How can happiness be achieved by being a ruler of an enemy country? On the other side, however, Turhan was lucky enough to become the wife of one of many Kosem's sons. She had not only the position of a sultan, but she also got on quite well with her mother-in-law because the young girl reminded Kosem about her own youth.

But for Turhan this was not enough. She wanted to be the mother of a reigning sultan. And be powerful, of course.

Speaking of her willing to have power, I should also talk about the murder. The opinions of Kosem and Turhan about the next ruler were absolutely different. Their relationship got worse and that is why such a tragic event happened.

To sum up, Turhan did not search for happiness as it is only found when doing positive things. Her great wish to become the strongest made her a murderer.
